Wolff Named Player of the Week
There were only 3 league games this past weekend, but even on a weekend with a full slate of games, Josh Wolff's performance against New England would earn him player of the week. Still, Saturday night in New England, Wolff played a part in all 4 of the Wizards goals in their 4-2 win over the Revolution. Wolff's run down the right wing and pass into the middle that deflected to Claudio Lopez set up the first goal. Wolff helped to make it 2-0 with a strong run past 2 Revolution defenders before crossing into the middle where his cross was deflected innto the net by Jay Heaps. He made it 3-1 with his first goal since May after capitalizing on Brad Knighton's inability to hold onto the ball. He finished out the scroing with a great volley after a cross from Chance Myers. It's Wolff's 3rd player of the week award of the season.
