The Winless Streak

Today I was looking at the Wizards current winless streak and got a little depressed about it, so I figured I'd depress everyone else with the information as well.

It's been 84 days since the Wizards last won a game when they defeated tonight's opponent, the Revolution, 3-1. In that time frame, the Wizards have played 7 league games, 12 in all competitions, all without a single win. The Wizards have scored a grand total of 1 goal in league play during that stretch, 6 goals in all competitions (3 of which came against Minnesota). The one goal the Wizards did score in league wasn't even from the Wizards offensive half of the field!

The team is on the verge of setting a team record for goal scoring futility in one season, as they haven't scored a goal in 424 minutes. The record, set in 2000 is 427 minutes. The all time record for the Wizards, though, is 639 set in the 98 and 99 season. With Claudio Lopez's goal from midfield, the Wizards have scored 1 goal in 681 minutes of league play. Over 11 and a half hours of soccer with only 1 goal scored.
