Wizards in US-Honduras Part 2

Tonight the United States advanced to the Gold Cup final, taking out Honduras for the second time in the tournament by a 2-0 score line. The US will now play the winner of Costa Rica-Mexico on Sunday. For the United States, Jimmy Conrad was out due to his concussion that he suffered in the quarterfinals. Davy Arnaud started for the United States for the third straight game. Arnaud I thought had a poor game by his level the previous two games. His first half as a whole was poor, with him not being really involved in the play and seeming a step slow. His second half was better, but still not to the level he'd played earlier in the competition. With his substitute the last two games, Kenny Cooper scoring for the second straight game, Arnaud could possibly find himself on the bench for the final if Bob Bradley goes with the hot foot.

The Wizards Honduran representative, Roger Espinoza started on the bench for the first time in the Gold Cup. Espinoza came on in the 80th minute for Honduras and actually looked pretty good in the limited minutes he got. He almost had an assist when it was still 1-0 as he played through Carlos Costly, but Costly was well saved by Troy Perkins.

You listened to the commentary too much. They were complaining about Davy all night. The problem was Brian Ching not being a good target forward. That made Davy look bad. Hot foot? Cooper scored a tap in and a penalty kick, should not merit a start.

Actually I listen to most games on mute can't stand Bretos. I thought Arnaud had a poor game period. He disappeared for long portions of the first half in my opinion.

2 goals are 2 goals. I think Bradley could go with the guy that is scoring more.

Also, it appears Arnaud may be suspended for the final anyways due to his yellow.

Davy only has 1 yellow the whole tournament. You can not be suspended for that. Davy disappeared because Ching couldn't hold up the ball.

Davy has 2 yellows in the Gold Cup. He picked up one against Haiti as well. I haven't found any documentation that yellows aren't carrying over. And since the Gold Cup seems to do all this other weird stuff it wouldn't surprise me if they don't clear the sheet at the end of the group phase.
