Today at his weekly press conference, Wizards coach, Curt Onalfo announced the Wizards schedule for this year's SuperLiga.
Due to conflicts with CAB and the inability to use other venues for different reasons, the Wizards will open SuperLiga in St. Louis on June 21st against sister club Atlas. The Wizards will then travel to New England where they will take on the Revolution on the 24th in the second game of group play. KC will close out group play on June 28th at Community America against Santos Laguna, who the Wizards have a colorful history with having played against each other in the Copa Mercanorte, CONCACAF Champion's Cup, and in a friendly.
June 21st vs Atlas (in St. Louis)
June 24th at New England
June 28th vs Santos Laguna
And now the full schedule is up on the SuperLiga website.
Should KC advance out of the group, the semifinals are July 15th. And the final is August 5th.
ok, that's doable, right. Santos it is then. I guess Atlas in StL is ok since we've played them before here and NE @ NE. Still annoying but good for StL fans.
ReplyDeleteDon't we have a very good away record @ NE?
ReplyDeleteyes we have a good record away against New England. The loss there in 2007 was our first there in a while.
