Last weekend, the Kansas City Kings once again won the Midwest conference of the PASL and advanced to the national tournament this weekend in Las Vegas. At the national tournament, the Kings were grouped with OTW Santa Clara and the Arizona Heat. The Kings won both those group play games, and advanced to the quarterfinals where they met the San Diego Fusion. The Kings won that game 3-2 today to advance to the semifinals against the Tacoma Stars. A 5-4 win in the semifinal propeled the Kings into the championship game, where they faced off against Vitesse Dallas. The finals were a tight game, but with just over a minute left, Dallas was able to break the tie, taking a 5-4 lead. They held on and once again the Kings suffered their only lost against PASL Premier team all season in the playoffs, to eliminate the team. Still, each year the Kings seem to move closer, hopefully next year we see the Kings capture the title.
