Tomorrow the Wizards begin working towards the 2009 MLS season, as preseason begins. Tomorrow, preseason begins out at the Swope Park training complex on field 3. The rest of this week and part of next week will be spent either at Swope or at the KC Sports Lodge. After that, it's off to Florida to train in Bradenton from the 29th through Feb. 11th. After training in KC from the 13th-17th, it's off to Guadalajara, Mexico to train at Atlas' facility.
There will be 4 players missing from training when it begins tomorrow though. Jack Jewsbury and Roger Espinoza will not be there tomorrow due to their respective commitments to the US and Honduran national teams. Also missing will be two of the Wizards 2009 draft picks. 2nd round pick, Graham Zusi and 4th round pick, Akeem Priestley will not be there tomorrow either. Zusi and Priestley should be at practice later this week though.
At practice though, will be 4 new Wizards. Former New England forward, Adam Cristman will be there tomorrow along with 1st round draft pick, Matt Besler, 2nd round draft pick, Doug DeMartin, and 3rd round pick, Neal Kitson.
