Cuban at practice

Thad over at The Back Post has a post about today's practice out at the Swope Park training complex. The good news, Josh Wolff is out practicing after rumors were he could miss the remainder of the season with an injury. The bad news, Roger Espinoza sat out due to the injury he suffered in the reserve game up in New England.

The interesting news, though, is the fact that the Wizards had a Cuban out at practice today. The official line from the team, according to Thad, is that the player was there to fill a spot for practice and stay in shape. The people Thad spoke with, though, did not know what the players name was. Looking at the picture that Thad took, it's hard to tell who he is. From a quick Google images search, though, it looks like it certainly could be either of the recently defected Cubans, who defected in DC before the US-Cuba match. You can compare the two for yourselves here. The first is Pedro Faife, and the second is Reynier Alcantara. It's hard for me to tell if it's one of them or not though, but if it is, then the Wizards better already have a discovery claim in, as it wouldn't surprise me if team's have put in claims already.

from the small amount of pictures to compare, it looks more like Alcantara to me than Faife.

Whichever he is, if he is one of them, could you list their positions and other stats? What interest would the Wizards have in either of these players may be determined by additional information. Thanks.
