Josh Wolff May Play Friday - Thad over at The Back Post has a write up on Wolff's first appearance at Wizards practice today. Along with that, at the end of the write up he mentions that Coach Onalfo said there is a chance that Wolff will play in the friendly on Friday against Atlas, much like Carlos Marinelli played against Evansville in the preseason friendly last year.photo courtesy of Thad Bell
Atlas in Town - Thad also was at Atlas' first practice here in Kansas City. After starting their time in America in Omaha, the Mexican First Division team is down in KC now preparing for their season. Their training schedule for this week is up on the Wizards' site including the game against the Wizards on Friday.

US Open Cup Semifinal Draw - Should the Wizards win tomorrow night against the Seattle Sounders, the Wizards will get to go on the road again for the semifinals on August 12th. Should the Wizards win and the Charleston Battery beat FC Dallas, the Wizards will travel to Charleston. Should FC Dallas win, the Wizards will play the Hoops on the SMU Campus at Westcott Field.
Juniors U-17 Team at SUM U-17 Cup - The Wizards Juniors U-17 team is 2-0 in their group play at the SUM U-17 Cup. They defeated New England's Juniors team 3-0 on the first day, and then defeated the Colorado Rapids Juniors team B 5-0 to leave them on top of Group B with 6 points and a +8 goal difference. Ahead of Toronto's team on goal difference. They played today but results haven't come in yet. UPDATE: According to a poster in Toronto's forum on bigsoccer, the Juniors lost 3-1 to Toronto, ending their run in the tournament.
