The Wizards dropped two points tonight down in Dallas. Holding the lead as added time started, the Wizards allowed a goal by Abe Thompson to tie the game at one. And in the end, it is likely what Dallas deserved, the goal was coming. The Wizards opened the game as they have the first few, coming out and attacking. The play in the first half was pretty even, with Kurt Morsink going close for KC. Finally, Scott Sealy put the ball away for his second of the season to give the Wizards the 1-0 half time lead.
In the second half, the Wizards started to drop into a defensive shell, and Coach Onalfo started to pull off 1 forward after another, until substitute Ryan Pore was the only forward left on the field. As they dropped back, Dallas continued to attack, and pressure. They had a goal by Kenny Cooper waived off due to offsides, but it was only a matter of time before it came. Onalfo's tactics have to be called into question, as he left no forward out there that would keep the Dallas defense honest. With only Pore left out there, the Dallas defense could move high up the field, as Pore isn't that good of a striker. Without the ability to clear their end, Dallas eventually got the goal that they deserved late in the match.
Wizards Man of the Match - Claudio Lopez - Was dangerous the entire time he was out on the field. He helped set up Sealy's goal and was a force until he was removed late in the game.
Honorable Mention - Kurt Morsink, Scott Sealy
