Wizards Win in New Mexico

The Wizards took the New Mexico Cup 2-0 over CSD Municipal of Guatemala tonight thanks to a pair of first half goals by Ivan Trujillo. With starters like Claudio Lopez, Scott Sealy, and Kevin Hartman staying home the Wizards apparently controled the game in the first half. Carlos Marinelli set up Trujillo's first off of a corner kick. According to the write up on Hillcrest Road, Marinelli dominated the first 30 minutes or so before being subbed out. In the 37th minute, KC doulbed their lead when in the 37th minute Davy Arnuad picked out Trujillo who once again headed past the Municipal goalkeeper to make it 2-0.

KC made full scale changes at half time and in the second half, the Wizards reserves kept the Municpal team at bay and gave Eric Kronberg the shutout in net for the Wizards. Here are the Wizards lineups for both halves.

First Half
Kronberg
Leathers - Conrad - Wahl - Harrington
Arnaud - Jewsbury - Zavagnin - Marinelli (Colombano 35)
Pore - Trujillo

Second Half
Kronberg
Myers - McKenzie - Hohlbein - Marquess
