This idea came to me last year, but I was unable to get enough people interested in it. This year I tried again and was able to get enough interest. Basically get a group of people together to do a draft of Wizards history. Each player would draft a current or former Wizards player to fill out an entire team. Once that's done, have a poll on here where people can vote for which person's team would be the best.
As I said, this year I was able to get enough people to do a draft. I went with only 3 teams this year to try and avoid having the 18th player be someone like Yari Allnut (1 game for KC), Michael Green, and any number of the other Wizards throughout the years who have only played a handful of games for the Wizards. Over the course of the next week or two, I will be posting two rounds of the draft at a time. The draft will be a traditional snake system, where the team that picks third in one round will have the first pick of the next round. Once the draft is complete I will then post the ideal formation that each of the people choose for their team, along with a poll where you can choose which team would be the best in your opinion. My hope is to make this an every year tradition in January to help kill the offseason.
The three teams are (in order of their draft order):
1. Team Shook (Kevin and George Shook)
2. Team DTB (myself)
3. Team Name TBA (John Roushkolb)
Stay tuned, the first and second round will be posted in the next few days.
