Onto the 2004 season for the Wizards top goal scorers.

The 2004 season had the Wizards return to the glory. They first made the US Open Cup final, where they defeated the McDonald's clad Chicago Fire 1-0 in overtime thanks to an Igor Simutenkov golden goal. The Wizards then went on to win the Western Conference, and lost out on the Supporters Shield by 2 goals. Kansas City then went into the playoffs, overcoming a 2-0 deficite in the first leg of their series with San Jose to win that series 3-2. They then went past LA 2-0 and into the MLS Cup. There the Wizards got an early lead from Jose Burciaga Jr., but a missed hand ball by everyones favorite vertically challenged referee helped DC United back into the game as United won their 4th MLS Cup.

8T. Davy Arnaud - 12 (N/A) - Davy's breakout season, as he partnered with Josh Wolff up top most of the season. Included this season was a hattrick against Dallas on July 3rd, and scoring both goals in the 2-0 win over LA in the conference finals.












8T. Josh Wolff - 12 (N/A) - Josh was Davy's striking partner throughout the season. Brought in before the 2003 season, Josh struggled in his first year in KC mostly with injuries, but came back to score 10 goals in the 2004 season to lead the team in scoring.
